MSCR interns play key roles

by Sharon Neylon, MSCR Outreach Manager

The Madison Schools Community Recreation (MSCR) Internship Program has provided students from across the country with opportunities for real-world experiences to enhance their academic programs. Mississippi, Oregon, Arizona, Kentucky, California, Michigan, Minnesota and, of course, Wisconsin — these are just a few of the states MSCR interns call home.

Most interns are completing their final semester of college in areas such as recreation & park management, social services, sports management or leisure studies. The interns spend a semester (usually about 16 weeks) working full-time at MSCR in an assigned program area or multiple areas.

Here are snapshots of some of the recent and current MSCR Interns:

Students interested in MSCR's Internship Program can find additional information and application procedures at the MSCR website: www.mscr.org or can contact Sharon Neylon, MSCR Outreach Manager.
