Located within the IMSC are copies of recently published texts and other student material in most subject areas for grades K-12. Also found in the IMSC is a small audiovisual collection of videos, software, cd-roms, games, kits, etc. All IMSC materials may be checked out for periods of up to one month.
Special Collections: Also available for check-out from the IMSC are the Literature kits and Resource kits developed by MMSD staff and formerly available from MMSD's Teachers' Workshop. These materials are available for check-out only to MMSD staff.
The IMSC serves as the district's clearinghouse for the acquisition of all learning materials requested for preview and evaluation. In addition, special assistance is available to individuals and committees involved in the MMSD's Evaluation of Learning Materials (ELM) process, as well as other staff involved in the selection and evaluation of learning materials. These services may include assistance in identifying appropriate materials, recommending materials from publishers or the IMSC's collection, contacting publishers or their sales representatives, arranging workshops and displays, providing ordering information, or sharing information about other similar district adoption activities.

The PREVIEW LIST is a compilation of recently requested preview videos, computer software, dvds, kits, cd-roms, books, and other staff and student learning resources. Copies are sent to all MMSD LMC/AV staff and other interested individuals approximately every 8-weeks.
